This XO is a blend of Calvados Pays d’Auge aged in French oak barrels in our Normandy cellar before being finished for several weeks in new Japanese oak barrels, called Mizunara. Mizunara oak is endemic to the Japanese archipelago and is used to age the best Japanese whiskies. Bou lard is the first Calvados house to use it in its eaux-de-vie.
